Who pays the most property taxes in Todd County? While most of us probably feel like it is us personally, it is actually some of the larger businesses in the county.

For the property taxes payable in 2019, Todd County will collect an estimated total tax of $32,074,364. The county portion of this is $16,054,877. 

A settlement is done on the $32,074,364 which is then paid back to the cities, townships and school districts for their portion of the tax that is due to them, according to Todd County Auditor/Treasurer Denise Gaida.

According to the top ten list of the highest valued commercial/industrial parcels in the county, two are healthcare related and four are livestock related.  The remaining include: one railroad, one hotel property, one housing and one former printing/publishing business. . . .
