Todd County Board of Commissioners: paving projects added

After considerable discussion and taking a role-call vote, the Todd County Board of Commissioners approved adding the County State Aid Highways 9 and 35 paving projects to the public works five year construction plan. Commissioners Gary Kneisl and David Kircher were opposed.

Chairman Rod Erickson said that he had driven both roads and said that they were both in nice driving condition for gravel roads. The concerns, as he understood it from citizens in the area, were that when the roads were wet, they became slippery and dangerous.

Commissioner Barb Becker also pointed out that a gravel pit located on CSAH 9 increased traffic.
