Accident injures 4 adults and 2 children

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Sunday, May 13, at 4:27 p.m. an accident occurred at the intersection of  Highway 10 and Brown Street Northwest in Verndale. A Kia Sedona driven by Charles Raymond Bimberg, 77, and passenger Judy Jean Bimberg, 71, of Verndale were stopped northbound at Brown Street Northwest and Highway 10. A Honda Pilot driven by Dion Vantyler, 30, of Breckenridge and passengers Amy Lori Lee, 29,  of Elk River, Blaze Edmond Lee, 4, and Breeze Emery Vantyler, 1, all of Breckenridge were eastbound on Highway 10. The Kia attempted to cross Highway 10 and was struck by the Honda Pilot. Charles Bimberg was treated at the St. Cloud Hospital for life threating injuries.  The other three adults and two children were transported to Tri-County Health Care and treated for non-life threating injuries. The Verndale Police Department, Verndale Fire and Rescue, Wadena County Sheriff’s Office and Wadena Police Department assisted at the scene.
