The Verndale City Council held their regular meeting on March 11. Members Tara Erckenbrack and Ardith Carr were absent.
Senior Center
Lee Tarrell spoke to the city council about insurance coverage for senior center members.
Tarrell explained the idea was brought about by a member of the Methodist Church who wanted to start a Christian based senior center.
They looked at using the parsonage, but it was not handicapped accessible. They were looking to use The Anchor but encountered the same issue. The last meeting of the interested seniors was held at the Verndale Alliance Church. The previous senior center closed a few years ago. . . .
