Administrative Reports

Activities Director/Dean of Students Greg Johnson shared fall sports is off to a good start.  The JMC coaches app to communicate with athletes and parents has gone well so far, with some bugs they are working out.

There are 34 students in football, 25 in volleyball, five in swimming, one in tennis and 11 football cheerleaders.

Johnson shared swimming numbers dropped significantly, and there is no coach from Verndale this year. Verndale swimmers are mostly junior high.

Principal Arick Follingstad shared they attended a High Reliability Schools workshop with Walker-Hackensack-Akeley and shared resources with each other.

Kindergarten through seventh grade and seniors had their first day of school with the rest of the upperclassmen joining them the next day. Kindergarten started with the rest of the elementary this year to do their screening which Follingstad said was very helpful. . . .
