Verndale School Board: Special meeting held

    The Verndale School Board held a special meeting on Thursday, July 5. Member Scott Veronen was absent.

    The school board approved an agreement with Sourcewell (formerly NJPA) for Frontline teacher recruitment software. This would allow teachers to see their reviews and personnel files online.

    “I was a little reluctant because I am not sure how much recruitment we have to do,” said Superintendent Paul Brownlow. “The concern that I had was I don’t want to find out other people are getting ahead of us and we don’t want to get left behind.”

    The cost is $2000 and would bring in more applicants for a position. It would allow the school to become more competitive and help with paperwork filing. This was already figured into the budget. . . .
