The Wadena Armory will undergo a $4.3 million renovation starting this summer.
The armory is 57 years old and has not had any major remodeling to take place over that time.
“The overall purpose for all of our armories throughout the state is to extend the longevity of the building,” explained Tony Housey of Camp Ripley public affairs.
There are 61 armories throughout the state, two air bases and buildings at Camp Ripley that will be remodeled. The short list of 10 armories that will begin the project this year includes Wadena. . . .
