The Wadena County Fair celebrates 125 years this June 21-24 with fair favorites and new attractions.
The All American Lumberjack Show will be held on Thursday night. Two teams will compete against each other in various events including cross cutting, axe throwing, log rolling and pole climbing. The family friendly show is sure to please the spectators.
Each day of the fair they will celebrate the 125th anniversary with 125 cupcakes provided by different area bakeries.
Speaking of food, a hotdish contest will also be held with various awards including best tasting, most unique and best presentation. There will also be new food vendors.
A mechanical bull will be available on Friday and Saturday nights if you think you can hang on, or you can try out sumo wrestling.
The kids may enjoy trying to milk a mechanical cow that will be on display in the FFA barnyard.
On Friday, Princess Kay of the Milky Way Emily Annexstad will stop by for a cheese tasting, and a 4-H pie auction and hotdish judging.
On Saturday, register your team for the Barnyard Olympics at the new Information Center (formerly the fair office).
On Sunday morning, the historical church will host the first annual community cowboy church service.

You can commemorate your time at the fair with a series of photos at the photo booth that is large enough to include photos with your friends and family.
