Water tower funding is approved

The Verndale City Council held a special meeting on August 1 to approve funding for the water tower.
Tyler Ray, community programs specialist with USDA Rural Development, was in attendance to answer questions about the documents.
They approved the letter of conditions, the letter of intent to meet conditions and a request for obligation of funds, that explained the loan and grant will be administered on behalf of the Rural Utilities Service by the state and area staff of USDA Rural Development (RD). . . .
