Well woes to be addressed in near future

    Public Works Manager Matt Uselman included in his lengthy report that they had received a matching $10,000 grant for exploratory work for a new well.         

 

Since the shutting down of Well No. 1 due to high nitrate levels, the city will be pursuing where a new well will best be located.  

   

    Joeb Oyster of Moore Engineering, who lives just south of Verndale, had learned of the city’s nitrate issue last month and pursued funding for them on his own, even though the funding deadline for Public Facilities Authority had passed.
