News from Clarissa's Past 25 Years Ago June 27, 2001 The Clarissa City Council members anticipated some complaints about the ordinance regulating mailboxes within the city limits. No citizens came to the meeting so the ordinance was retained at this time. The ordinance says that there can be no mailboxes within the city limits for the purpose of mail delivery. According to the council, some citizens have made complaints about the cost of having a box at the post office. **
