Bertha-Hewitt celebrates Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Bertha-Hewitt’s School Liaison Officer Jon Barber was feeling lots of love as the school celebrated Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Friday, January 7.
During Principal Glynn’s character building session, grade 1-6 students surprised Officer Jon with an appreciation program.
When Officer Jon walked into the gym, he was welcomed with thundering applause and homemade signs from students and staff.
Second grade students in Ms. Hurtig and Mrs. McDaniel’s classes presented Officer Jon with a “Law Enforcement Officer Survival Kit.” Each candy represented a special meaning: . . .
