Body Art By Lacey opened on Main Street in Browerville on May 6, bringing years of tattoo experience to the area.

Lacey Purcell, originally from Texas and raised in Brainerd, lived in Idaho for a few years before returning to the Brainerd area and Crosby.

After 22 years of marriage, her husband Ronald was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a type of brain tumor that initially appeared on his spine, resulting in paralysis from the waist down. She left her job as a CNA and paused her RN schooling to care for him for seven months before he passed away in 2022.

After he passed, Lacey was invited by friends, the Davidson family in Clarissa, to live with them. She moved in with their 16-year-old son, Connor, and their 21-year-old son, Aiden.

Upon relocating to Clarissa, Lacey secured a job as a CNA at the Clarissa Care Center. A few months later, she underwent back surgery to fuse her spine and address a herniated disc that was pressing on her spinal cord, making it impossible for her to continue working as a CNA...
