• Work is progressing according to schedule on the new gymnasium floor, the old floor having been removed earlier last week. On Friday, Doug Petermeier, pictured at left, and Jerry Holstad, of J and D Construction of Richmond, were busy installing sleeves for anchoring the volleyball nets while Rich Brown of Verndale, in the background, worked at leveling low spots. The floor is in really good condition—it was originally one of the areas of concern, which could have added considerable expense. J and D Construction is doing the work for Schaeffer Hardwood Floors under a sub-contract agreement. Schaeffer’s crew is there this week installing the new floor.
