Fire destroys home


On Tuesday, May 4, at approximately 7 a.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Long Prairie Fire Department, and Browerville Fire Department responded to a house fire at the Pitschka residence south of Long Prairie. The Red Cross and Chaplain Greaver along with the Todd County Sheriff’s Office will be assisting the family during this time. The community has stepped up to help the family. Donations are being accepted at Central Bi and Prairie Fire Nutrition Club. A storage unit has been donated to the family to store the donations. At the moment, they need gift cards and monetary donations to purchase personal items and food. Jill Cline will be accepting donations at Central Bi and will see that the family receives them. They have a 2-year-old girl that is in 3T clothing, wears size 7 toddler shoes, and wears Pampers pull-ups in size 3T. They have a 4-year-old girl that is in size 5-6 girls' clothing and wears size 11 toddler shoes. Felicia wears size small clothing and size 7 shoes. Al wears size large clothing and size 11 shoes.
