Five fire departments battle fire

On Wednesday, February 8, at 12:46 a.m., the Deer Creek Fire Department was paged to a shop fire at 60151 County Highway 50 in rural Deer Creek. A deputy on the scene prior to the fire department's arrival advised the building was fully engulfed in flames.

Due to the size of the building, mutual aid was requested from Bluffton, Henning, Hewitt, and Wadena fire departments. . .
