The Friendly Rider is lending a hand, or buses in this case, adding to their role of delivering passengers to include delivering food. Ridership may be down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they have moved into a support role to help out in our local communities. Meals on Wheels reached out to the Friendly Rider for assistance and it has helped immensely. “We are delivering about 40 meals a day,” said Wadena County Transit Director Randy Jahnke. The bus picks up the food from Humphrey Manor in Wadena. With the help of a volunteer they drive to the designated locations and distribute the food. . . .
