At the regular Todd County Commissioner meeting held on November 18, the commissioners held a lengthy discussion on the county gravel roads to tar roads plan. The meeting agenda was amended to add 8.0 Resolution to Pave County Road 81.

Commissioner Becker stated at the fall public works road meeting County Road 81 was brought up for discussion. It has been brought up for fourteen years. Residents were told it would be up for tarring if we went through the process to obtain public signatures and I signed as commissioner. It is a viable cut across road widely used for travel. It could be tarred with the state 1/2% tax used to pave gravel roads. We have to start using this tax and start paving these roads. Commissioner Denny agreed with Noska. He said the engineer has a process in place and has had some bumps in the road and modified the list, but it still moved from ninth to sixth place according to the point system.

Commissioner Becker said the sad thing is it’s still sitting fifteen years out...
