Hilltop Hope: Eagle Bend’s Vision for Regional Senior Housing Moves Closer to Reality

“Although this development has taken longer than any of us anticipated, as a developer, it is easier for us to continue our work when we are engaged with a community that whole-heartedly supports the project and truly understands the critical need for senior housing.”

With these words, Central Minnesota Housing Partnership, Inc., Executive Director Deanna Hemmesch described the tenacity of the seemingly tireless group of volunteers who has worked for several years to transform the former Eagle Bend School into housing.

This is the fourth application that has been made to the powers that be for funding in the State to make this dream a reality.

This time, the group has worked even harder at getting signatures for letters of support and pledges as well as donations.

Time, however, is running short and they have until Friday, June 27 to gather remaining letters of support and pledge forms (only have to pay if the project is approved and then in 2026). Donations can be made at any time, but preferably prior to the June 27 date....
