Indoor air quality project underway at the Verndale School
by Trinity Gruenberg
The Verndale School is in the midst of its indoor air quality project making some of the classrooms and hallways look a bit unrecognizable. It is to be expected with the amount of construction work occurring inside the school to complete this project.
The hallways are covered with floor protection while the floating ceilings have been removed to be able to install new ventilation systems. They will also cut through the ceiling for the new rooftop air units.
Wade Kern, buildings and grounds supervisor, explained while this project is important, it has created a couple of challenges they had to work around. Some of the summer programs lost some space due to the classrooms being emptied and the furniture being stored in the old gym. . .
