Lathered for a Cause; The Sexy Fat Man Car Wash Tradition

Most people today believe that young, attractive women were originally the ones who washed cars for charity. Few people would actually know that this event was actually invented and perfected by sexy, fat men.
2 Tall Tavern, located near Cushing, is keeping this tradition alive.
The annual event, which took place for the fourth year earlier this summer, is usually held on the third weekend in July.
Jeff Myrum, of Browerville, who was first to take off his shirt and dare the glaring sun, credits Bar Manager Briana for the original idea during a brainstorming session while having a few beers at the bar.
“The talk of a fundraising car wash came first,” said Myrum. “After the floods in Randall in 2022, the fundraising had its purpose.”
Money raised from this annual car wash typically goes to area fire departments, and those fire departments often donate to other specific causes...
