The Tigers football team advanced to the section 5-A championship game on Wednesday at the Fargo Dome with a 28-7 victory over Dawson Boyd and a 26-15 victory over Wheaton this past week. The Tigers will meet the undefeated Eagle Valley Rebels in the championship game with kickoff at 5:30 p.m. Mitch Johnson put the Tigers first points on the board with a 31 yard scamper and followed that with a five yard run for a score, all in the first period.

November 9 has been chosen as the day for the Veterans Day program presented by the upper classmen of the Browerville Public School. Curtain time will be 10:15 a.m. in the high school auditorium. The theme this year is The Korean War as the anniversary of the beginning of the war is being celebrated throughout our nation.
75 Years Ago
November 2, 1950
The third and last sixth district rally of the American Legion will be held at the new Clarissa Ballroom located one-half mile west of Clarissa on Wednesday, November 1, at 8 p.m., under the auspices of Post 213. This will be a joint meeting of the legion and auxiliary. State Commander C. Fred Hanson will be the main speaker of the evening. Don Motzko, Browerville Legion Post commander, urges all who can to attend.

Richard T. Kahlert, seaman, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Kahlert of this village, is serving aboard the USS Zellars, one of the seven destroyers which recently arrived from the East Coast to strengthen the forces of the Pacific fleet. Kahlert, who entered Naval service in September 1947, received his recruit training at the U.S. Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois.
