Bob and Kimberly Bryniarski of Browerville got a little help picking out their family Christmas tree from young Rakel and Ali. Like many people, the Bryniarski’s tradition is to pick out their tree after Thanksgiving. Sadlo’s Christmas Trees and other Christmas tree farms were busy over the long holiday weekend.

Browerville City Councilman Walt Lucas and Ambulance Director Tom Steinmetz presented Roger Weske with a plaque honoring him for 30 years of service to the community. The award was presented during halftime at the Tigers football game at the Browerville School.

The annual village election will be held on December 5 with the following having filed for the various offices: councilman: Frank Borgert, Joseph Poplinski; recorder: Jos. F. John; assessor, John Goike, Roy Redfield; justice of the peace and constable, no filings.

On Saturday, December 2, the Browerville High School auditorium stage curtains will open to present the operetta “Love Pirates of Hawaii”. The cast of characters includes: Theresa Buhl, Marlene Borgert, Clara Gmyrek, Pauline Lucas, Rita Urban, Rita Iten, Denis Monnie, Jack Frank, Dennis Steinmetz, Florence Joh and Marie Biermaier.
