As early as 1985, the congregation of the Zion Lutheran Church in Browerville began to realize they were running out of room. After much discussion between the members of the congregation, they decided to build an addition to their church to better accommodate their growing needs. Since 1985, the congregation had been saving money and discussing possible plans for an addition. It was not until October 1999 that the final plan was agreed upon. Pastor John Dalen said that church member Mike Schultz played a very important role in the addition project. Schultz actually designed the majority of the project on his home computer.

As some of you people may already know the Eagle Valley Rebels wrestling team has paired with the Tigers wrestling team. The new team name is the Broncos. The Broncos wrestling team has 28 wrestlers and is led by three seniors, Jacob Irsfeld, Luke Rowe and Dennis Serbus.

December 7, 1950
A total of 209 votes were cast at the Browerville village election last Tuesday. Those running for village office and the number of votes each received follows: for councilman, 3 years; Frank Borgert 115, Joseph Poplinski 94. For recorder, two years: Jos. F. John 151. For assessor, two years: Roy Redfield 105, John Goike 103. For justice of the peace, Lambert Irsfeld 21 (write-in).

Three Browerville seamen recruits: Valerian S. Spychalla, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Spychalla; Thomas J. Iten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas K. Iten; and Delbert U. Prucha, son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Prucha, are undergoing recruit training at the wold’s largest Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois.
