Sonja Stoterau, Dairy Princess, and Rhonda Brekke, Dairy Ambassador, met with Mr. Petermeir’s and Mrs. Michael’s third grade classes. They presented the program “Milk: From the Cow to You”, promoting the use of dairy products. The students were treated with ice cream cones afterwards.

Last Sunday, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in this village was the scene of the celebration of the First Solemn Mass of Reverend Joseph A. Wiersgalla, a native son of the parish. He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in St. Mary’s Cathedral, St. Cloud, by Reverend Peter W. Bartholome, D.D. Co-adjutor Bishop of St. Cloud, on Saturday, June 2, at 9 a.m.

The problem of farm price controls and the application of the new rollback orders with the implication of the possibility of subsidies, seems to be generating a feeling among Washington authorities as well as city dwellers that farmers are unreasonable in their opposition to rollback prices, proposed subsidies and other controls that agriculture is gradually becoming subject to.
