Russian Inbound/Outbound for 2001-2002. Four Browerville senior high students: Sarah Hoelscher, Jenni Pachan, Shanda Stracek, and John Johnson along with business teacher Mr. Stender will travel to Russia next summer through the REAP exchange program. Five students and two educators from Russia will visit Browerville from October 7-November 4.

Volunteers were ready throughout Minnesota today for the first all-out U.S. Defense Bond Drive which started Labor Day and extends through October 27. During the drive, every citizen will be urged to buy bonds both for their personal security and for the national defense effort. Frank L. King, Todd County chairman, has been notified that Todd County’s quota will be $70,000 in E, F and G bonds for the eight-week period of the drive.

A total of 215 students enrolled at the local public school on Tuesday. By classes they are: lower grades 27, upper grades 25, freshmen 42, sophomores 44, juniors 32, and seniors 26. The enrollment does not reflect the actual attendance because of the fall work on local farms. Many more are expected to register as soon as possible when fieldwork slows down.
