Contracts can’t require
out-of-state venue
Sales representatives will get their day in Minnesota court. A new law will bar sales representative agreement provisions that include a choice of venue in another state. This means sales representatives working in Minnesota won’t face undue travel burdens in a dispute and manufacturers can’t have sales contracts adjudicated out of state.
Continuing education
requirements
updated in real estate,
insurance
appraisal licensing
With more coursework moving online, language about continuing education requirements for real estate, insurance and appraisal licensing has been updated. Much of a new law aims to make requirements more understandable without lowering standards. . .
