Raiders Girls Track Team Shines with Impressive Fourth Place Finish at Fergus Falls Meet

The Bertha-Hewitt-Verndale Raiders girls track and field team opened their outdoor track and field season with a strong performance at a highly competitive six-team meet hosted by Fergus Falls. Competing against programs such as West Central Area, Lisbon, Detroit Lakes, and Bemidji, the Raiders girls’ team earned an impressive fourth-place finish, trailing only Class AA and AAA schools.
Leading the way for the Raiders was Aulani Johnson, who placed second in the 300-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 52.69 and added a sixth-place finish in the long jump (13-5). Kendra Miller delivered a standout performance, winning the 800-meter run in 2:28.49 and finishing second in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:30.55.
Piper Dean contributed with a fourth-place finish in the 400 meters (1:07.79) and captured first place in the high jump (4-10). Danika Wilhelmi placed sixth in the 1600 meters (5:48.87) and fifth in the 800 meters (2:31.41), while McKayla Kapphahn added a sixth-place finish in the 800 meters (2:55.12)...
