Raiders runners advance to State

The Bertha-Hewitt-Verndale Raiders traveled to Pelican Rapids for the Section 6A Track and Field meet on Thursday, June 1.
The girls team finished 12th overall and the boys finished 5th in the 22 team meet.
Relays and individuals who finished in the top two will advance to the Class A State Track and Field meet on June 8 and 9.
Advancing to State for the Raiders was the girls 4x800 meter relay team of Olivia Stanley, Mia Arroyo, Rochelle Dean and Kendra Miller (2nd, 10:02.67—NEW SCHOOL RECORD); boys 4x800 meter relay team of Zane Guderjahn, Zach Baumgartner, Brady Rach and Preston Miller (1st, 8:09.01—NEW SCHOOL RECORD). Brady Rach also advanced individually in the 3200 meter run (2nd, 9:57.49). . .
