At the regular Todd County Commissioner meeting on July 1, the commissioners recognized the 2025 Second Quarter Service Awards given to thirteen employees. The employees have a total of 240 years of service ranging from 5 years to 35 years.

• Accepted resignation of Stacie Ilgen, Eligibility Worker as of June 20.
• Hired Correction Officer Chris Manners with start date TBD.
• Approved Commissioner warrants for $241,298.90.
• Approved Health and Human Services Commissioner warrants for $82,283.13.
• Approved Health and Human Services SSIS warrants for $114,896.05.
• Background: Mike Wisniewski, Emergency Management, presented a resolution Declaring a State of Emergency for Todd County related to the storm event that occurred on June 20. During this event, Stearns Electric Cooperative reported twenty-two broken utility poles in the West Union area. The estimate to replace the poles is $3,000/pole resulting in $66,000 in damage. As a non-profit utility provider, Stearns Electric qualifies for public disaster assistance under MN Statute Chapter 12B. This amount exceeds Todd County’s state public infrastructure disaster assistance threshold of $59,618.32, making them eligible to receive up to 75% of the damages in reimbursement from the State of Minnesota.
