News from Eagle Bend's Past

February 14, 1997

“Many hands make light work,” said John Heywood. His theory was very evident at the Eagle Bend Senior Citizen’s Center last Thursday. It was the local center’s turn to assemble “Senior Echoes.” That’s the monthly newsletter from the Todd County Council on Aging. A group at one table was assembling the 14-page newsletter. Another group was stapling them, while address labels were attached at still another table. It was a special day, too. They were preparing the 20th-anniversary edition. The first edition was printed in the Long Prairie East Annex basement in February 1997.
