Snow Daze activities at Eagle Bend High School found the student team, Gooby Goobers, as the victors for the broomball tournament. Likewise, Goobers Gang were the victors of the tug-of-war tournament. Both were captioned by Gabe Lorentz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lorentz. The pleasure skating was attended by approximately 75 students Friday evening with the dance on Saturday evening being attended by approximately 130 students. Coronation of the king and queen candidates resulted in the crowning of Barb Reierson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Reierson as queen and Steven Nordstrom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nordstrom, as king. The snow sculpture winning the first prize was a huge green dragon with the phrase printed on its side “Winter Keeps Dragon On.” It was construed by Arlene Fransen, Ron Housmiui, Shirley Jackson, Barb Johnson, Sue Larson, Twyla Lennes and Barb Reierson.
