Last Thursday, 76 women attended a Farm Woman Appreciation Day that was held at the Double Eagle Country Club near Eagle Bend. Jim Lunemann of Central Ag Services started the program by welcoming everyone. Lunemann said he learns a lot from farmers by what he refers to as “milk tank talk”. From those talks he gets asked plenty of questions and based the topics of the day on some of them to answer some frequently asked questions.

Only a few members of EBADC, the Eagle Bend Area Development Corporation, attended the March 14 meeting. But those who were there had good news to report of the forth coming Nelson Park Block Party. The event is being held to raise money for the recreational park that is being planned for Eagle Bend. It will be held Saturday evening, April 21, at the Eagle Valley High School in Eagle Bend.

April 1, 1976
Sno Daze festivities at Eagle Bend were culminated with the Snowball Dance and the coronation of the 1976 king and queen. Queen Terri Peterson created an aura of excitement as she just about placed the crown on all the candidates heads before finally placing the crown on the 1976 snow queen, Jane Notch. In like fashion, John Hosmer, 1975 snow king, placed the crown on Chris King’s head, thus pronouncing him as 1976 snow king.

After expending much energy and frustration, the students came up with a victory needed to capture the much coveted title of basketball champions of 1976. In sudden death overtime, the students defeated the faculty.
