July 15, 1976

On May 18, Superintendent W.B. James accepted a portrait of Manassas Sarff, which was presented to the Eagle Bend Public School by his granddaughter, Gladys Wendel. Manassas Sarff was one of the early settlers in the community and was actively involved in public affairs.

Jake Otterstetter of East Chain was named Coach of the Year for District 5 for the 1976 season. He also was District 5 Coach of the Year in 1975. This is Mr. Otterstetter’s 8th year at East Chain School. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jake Otterstetter of Eagle Bend.
