Jeff Anderson is the owner of California-Minnesota Honey Farms. During the summer they headquarter in Eagle Bend with beehives placed throughout the area. They usually place approximately 4000 colonies of bees. The normal mortality generally brings the numbers down to 3600 by fall. In the last several years, they have noticed a significant drop. Beekeepers are to be notified when pesticide spraying will be done in an area where they have hives.
