Rinde Family Named 2026 Todd County Farm Family

The 2026 Todd County Farm Family award was given to the Rinde Family of Browerville.
Rinde Farms started in 1981 when Roger and Bonnie moved their young family to their current farm site near Browerville after a few years on different farms, including some time near Motley. The operation has grown and evolved, but it remains connected to those early years.
Bonnie worked for 39 years as a special education teacher in Browerville, while Roger has been a farmer all his life. Bonnie is now officially retired.
Roger and Bonnie raised three children: Justin, Kayla (Asmus), and Jeff. Each of them returned to the farm. Justin returned in about 2005 to farm grain with Roger on a 50/50 basis. Jeff followed in 2006, partnering with Roger on the dairy side. Kayla came back in 2009 after working as a veterinary technician.
On January 1, 2009, the family officially combined their efforts to form Rinde Farms LLC, uniting grain and dairy under one operation and making all three siblings partners with their parents.
Today, the division of labor reflects each person’s experience and personality. Jeff oversees daily dairy operations, managing the milking herd and overall herd health. Kayla and Bonnie handle the young stock, raising calves and replacements. Justin focuses on crops, operating irrigators, managing spraying, trucking, and machinery. They also have a small team of employees, including Bob Bryniarski, a long-time full-time hired hand, and Miguel Murillo, who helps keep the farm running smoothly...
