Service with a smile and a little “bad humor”

by Karin L. Nauber

The name for a Heather flower comes from its genus name, Calluna, which stems from the Greek word kalluno, and means to cleanse or adorn.

This is very appropriate when it comes to Dr. Heather Holt, the Long Prairie area’s newest dentist.

She not only will help you with your dental needs but will also make your teeth look their absolute best!

Dr. Holt opened her office in Long Prairie at the former Snap Fitness location on Highway 71 in early September.

The office—from the reception/waiting area to the operatory row and dental suites has a calming and pleasant feel and smell.

She has an essential oil diffuser emitting calming scents in the waiting area.

Even the color choice for the office feels calming and gentle.

Prairie grass also adorns the office adding to the calm feeling.

As Dr. Holt will tell you, “We’re not your typical dental office, and we don’t strive to be. Our primary goal at Prairie Family Dental is to provide you with a customized experience because we firmly believe that no two patients are alike.

“Each patient has unique needs, and we make sure to address them without the burden of strict time constraints. You and every member of your family will receive the time and attention you deserve because our top priority is to help you achieve a healthy smile that makes you feel proud,” she said. . .
