Donnie and Carolyn Middendorf built their farm from the ground up, but their roots in agriculture run deep.

Donnie was raised on his family’s farm near Sauk Centre and spent his early years farming alongside his Uncle Bill.

In 1995, he purchased a farm near Long Prairie, just across the road from where Carolyn was raised on a dairy farm. They married in 1997 and began milking 52 Holsteins in a tie stall barn.

Since then, the operation has evolved considerably. Today, they milk around 110 Holstein-Fleckvieh crossbred cows in a swing parlor they retrofitted from the original barn. Cows are housed in sand-bedded freestalls and graze pasture during the warmer months...
