Tigers claw Thunder and Pirates

The Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers had another busy week last week playing three games.

Long Prairie/Grey Eagle visited Clarissa on Tuesday night and were greeted with a 47 point first half by the Tigers.

The Tigers defense forced 16 Thunder turnovers while pulling down 9 offensive rebounds.

B/EV had a commanding 25 point lead at the halfway point, 47-22.

Eight more steals in the second half helped the Tigers extend their lead and put the game into running time.

The Thunder never were able to get comfortable with the Tigers defense and were outscored 35-17.

D. Liebsch scored 11 of the Thunder’s 17 second half points and 17 total for the game.

Miguel Maloney led all scorers with 25 points....
