Tigers defeat the Bears

On Tuesday night, the Tigers traveled to Bertha to take on the Bears. Browerville/Eagle Valley found some needed offense and handled Bertha-Hewitt’s pressure to win 69-44.

The Bears opened the game with three baskets from behind the arc and led 9 to 7. A 9-0 run gave the Tigers a lead that they wouldn’t relinquish the rest of the night. BH, however, closed the gap to 20-19 with 5:40 to play in the half. B/EV then outscored the Bears 10 to 2 to close out the half with a nine-point advantage, 30-21.

Miguel Maloney and Hans Puck led the first-half scoring for the Tigers with 12 and 9 points, respectively. . .
