Tigers Earn Thriller Win, Face Tough Second Half Challenges

Tigers Hold Off Panthers in Thrilling 68–67 Victory

The Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers traveled to Parkers Prairie last Monday night and came away with a hard-fought 68–67 victory over the Parkers Prairie Panthers in a game that was as close statistically as it was on the scoreboard.

The Tigers came out firing, jumping to an early 15–4 lead and extending it to 27–15 midway through the first half. Browerville/Eagle Valley controlled much of the opening half and carried a 38–31 advantage into the locker room.

The Tigers wasted little time in the second half, striking first and pushing their lead to 45–31. However, the Panthers battled back and slowly chipped away at the deficit, setting up a tense finish. In the closing moments, Browerville/Eagle Valley held on defensively to secure the one-point win.

The final statistics reflected just how evenly matched the teams were. The Tigers shot 25-of-66 from the field, while the Panthers went 27-of-65. The biggest difference came from beyond the arc, where Browerville/Eagle Valley knocked down 11 three-pointers compared to just three by Parkers Prairie. Rebounding totals were even at 42 apiece.

Defensively, the Tigers recorded 10 steals and forced 16 Panther turnovers. Browerville/Eagle Valley committed 15 turnovers of their own in the tightly contested matchup.

Jayden Schultz led the way for the Tigers with an outstanding performance, pouring in 34 points while dishing out 5 assists and pulling down 12 rebounds. Christian Tobas and Ben Host each added 8 points, with Host also grabbing 7 rebounds. Brady Reed contributed 6 points and controlled the glass with 9 rebounds, while Aiden Hatchard chipped in 7 points in the balanced team effort...
