Tigers Fall to Bears in Fierce Match

The Browerville-Eagle Valley Tigers opened their 2025 volleyball season this week with two hard-fought matches against the Bertha-Hewitt Bears and the Sebeka Trojans. With a young roster featuring only two returning players with varsity experience, the Tigers are in the process of building chemistry and consistency on the court.
On Tuesday, the Tigers hosted the Bertha-Hewitt Bears in a match that was close from start to finish. Nerves played a role on both sides, but the Bears held the edge in key moments to win in four sets (19-25, 25-16, 22-25, 23-25).
Statistically, the Tigers showed both strengths and areas for growth. They finished with 8 ace serves but also committed 14 service errors. Offensively, the Tigers recorded 46 kills but were slowed by 32 hitting errors, while their serve receive rating averaged 1.75 out of 3.0...
