Braves Defend Home Court in Prairie Conference Victory

The Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers traveled to Benson for a Prairie Conference matchup, but the conference-leading Benson Braves protected their home floor with a 96–61 victory.

Benson, now 10–1 in Prairie Conference play, established control early and carried a 43–30 advantage into halftime. The Braves continued to apply pressure in the second half, steadily extending the lead behind efficient offense and strong interior play.

The Braves shot 49.3% from the field compared to 36.7% for the Tigers. Benson also capitalized at the free throw line, converting 14 of 19 attempts, while Browerville/Eagle Valley finished 8 of 17.

Turnovers proved costly for the Tigers, who committed 27 miscues that the Braves turned into 30 points. Benson also dominated inside, outscoring the Tigers 52–26 in the paint. On the boards, the Braves held a 45–35 rebounding advantage, including 21 offensive rebounds that led to multiple second-chance opportunities. The Braves finished with 15 turnovers.

Leading the Tigers offensively was Ben Host with 14 points. Jayden Schultz added 13 points while recording a double-double with 10 rebounds and also dishing out four assists. Brady Reed contributed 13 points in the effort.

Browerville/Eagle Valley will look to regroup and sharpen its execution as Prairie Conference play continues...
