Tigers Off to a Tough Start this Season

Osakis   10, Browerville Eagle Valley  9, at Browerville on April 21.

Osakis, 10 runs, 8 hits, 1 error. BEV 9 runs, 6 hits, 2 errors.

Osakis started the scoring in the bottom of the first with a leadoff single that came around to score for a 1-0 lead. Osakis then added two more runs in the 3rd inning on 3 hits to take a 3-0 lead. The Tigers answered back with 8 runs in the bottom of the 3rd using 4 hits and highlighted by a 2-run single by Gavin Marxer and an RBI single from Maverick Dreher to take an 8-3 lead. Osakis tied the game with 5 runs in the 5th inning, taking advantage of 2 Tiger errors and using 2 hits and erratic control from Tiger pitchers. Osakis went ahead in the 6th inning, scoring two more times for a 10-8 lead. The Tigers fought back in the 7th when Maverick Dreher walked and scored on an Aiden Hatchard double to make it 10-9, but they stranded Hatchard at 2nd. After the game, the Tigers were 2-3 and 0-3 in conference. Next up was OTC in Browerville on Thursday, 4/23.
