Tigers open season with mix

The Tigers volleyball team started conference play this past week picking up two wins before hosting their annual Browerville Invite on Saturday, placing second place.

On Tuesday, the Tigers hosted the Swanville Bulldogs in front of a packed gym. The Tigers came out with a slow start, allowing the Bulldog’s persistent defense and big blocks to put them down 2-9 to start the game. At 7-16 the Tigers called a timeout which seemed to settle things down as the Tigers made a big run pushing the score to 18-22, and forcing a Bulldogs timeout. An unfortunate missed serve and a hitting error gave Swanville the first set win at 22-25.

The Tigers took all the momentum they had been building and came out blazing in set two, taking a 25-6 win. . .
