Browerville/Eagle Valley - 74,  Swanville - 67

The Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers defended their home court with a hard-fought 74–67 win over the Swanville Bulldogs in a Prairie Conference matchup last Tuesday, January 6.

The Tigers’ offense was slow to get going, but they found their rhythm as the first half progressed, building a narrow 37–35 lead at the break. Swanville stayed close behind strong first-half performances from Isaac Miller and Brody Kircher. Miller scored 13 of his game-high 21 points in the opening half, while Kircher added 10 of his 23 points before halftime.

Browerville/Eagle Valley was led early by Jayden Schultz, who poured in 14 of his team-high 25 points in the first half. The Tigers created some separation in the second half, building a pair of 10-point leads. Still, the Bulldogs responded each time, cutting into the margin and keeping the game competitive down the stretch.

Christian Tobas provided a spark in the second half for the Tigers, scoring 13 of his points after halftime. Aiden Hatchard added 11 points, and Ben Host chipped in 10, giving Browerville/Eagle Valley four players in double figures.

While both teams found success offensively, the Tigers took care of the basketball, committing just 14 turnovers compared to Swanville’s 22—a key factor in maintaining their lead late in the game.

Despite strong efforts from Miller and Kircher, Swanville was unable to complete the comeback, as Browerville/Eagle Valley held on for the 74–67 conference victory...
