Tigers Softball Shuts Out Osakis and Cruised Past Benson

The Browerville-Eagle Valley softball team had only two games last week, but both games were against Prairie Conference opponents.
On Tuesday, April 21, the Tigers hosted the Osakis Silverstreaks on a beautiful spring afternoon. This one was all Tigers as the home team scored in all 4 innings and hammered out 11 hits on the day en route to an 11-0, 5-inning victory. Leading the offense for the Tigers with 2 hits each were senior Haylee Hiebert (1st career HR), freshman Kelsey Schmitt, and 8th-grader Sydney Deyle. Chipping in with one hit each were junior Elsie Puck, sophomores Lydia Reed and Zoey Lenz, and 8th-grader Quinn Bruder. Junior Bristol Bruder went the distance in the circle for the complete game shutout and was supported by the Tiger defense, which had zero errors on the day...
