Tigers Stage Thrilling Playoff Comebacks, Season Comes to an End

The Browerville/EV Tigers battled through an emotional and dramatic stretch of Section 6A playoff softball last week, opening postseason play with a convincing win before delivering two unforgettable comeback efforts Thursday at Minnewaska High School.
The sixth-seeded Tigers began the playoffs Tuesday in Browerville with an 11–1 victory over the 11th-seeded Pelican Rapids Vikings. Browerville/EV controlled the game from the start, scoring in four different innings while taking advantage of timely hitting and aggressive baserunning. Elsie Puck powered the offense with three RBIs, while Quinn Bruder tripled and drove in a run. Kelsey Schmitt added a hit, RBI, and walk, and Lydia Reed, Olivia Browen, Sydney Deyle, and Bristol Bruder each contributed hits in the win. In the circle, Bristol Bruder turned in a great postseason performance. The Tigers’ ace allowed just one run on three hits while striking out eight in the complete-game victory...
