The Tigers scored first in the top of the 2nd when Ben Host led off the inning with a double and scored on two wild pitches for a 1-0 lead.
Melrose answered back in the bottom of the third with two runs as a result of 3 walks and a hit.
The score stayed that way until the bottom of the 6th when two Tigers errors allowed 2 unearned runs to finish the scoring at 4-1.
Hans Puck and Ryan Riedel combined to give up 2 earned runs on 4 hits and struck out 5 for the Tigers.
