Tigers Strong Sprinting and Field Performances Drive Success at Long Prairie Meet

The Browerville Tigers turned in a well-rounded performance at Tuesday’s track and field meet in Long Prairie, highlighted by strong finishes in sprinting, field events, and relays.

In the boys’ 100-meter dash, sophomore Tyler Rowe led the Tigers with a personal-best time of 12.31 seconds, placing ninth overall. Seniors Sam Asmus (13.04) and Ethan St. George (13.18) also recorded personal bests, continuing a trend of season improvement for the squad.

The girls’ sprint team delivered key points, led by Brooke Perish, who placed third in the 100-meter dash with a season-best 13.24, earning six team points. Claire Perish added a sixth-place finish in 13.55, while Raylann Morgan contributed depth to the lineup.

Morgan went on to dominate in the field events, claiming first place in the shot put with a throw of 33-5.25 and taking second in the discus at 102-8. Her performance accounted for a significant portion of the Tigers’ scoring on the day.

Distance standout Emily Biegler also had a strong showing, finishing third in the 1600-meter run with a season-best time of 5:54.78. In the hurdles, Quinn Lais secured another podium finish, placing third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.35...
